Professional Training
Addis & Yassir provide on-site training to our clients in a number of areas in which we specialize, through module-based training. Our aim is to ensure that any sub-surface geoscientist or engineer becomes competent by providing a solid understanding of the mechanics included in the standard industry software and avoiding the software being used as a black box.

We also provide customized courses based on requests from our clients, to address any specific technical needs or interests of the asset teams. This may involve pre-course surveys and post-course evaluations.
Addis & Yassir draw on industry experience and field examples to illustrate the impact on operations and field developments and demonstrate how theory can be brought into practice to solve practical problems, to improve field development planning, improve well productivity, reduce CAPEX and OPEX and reduce non-productive time.
We combine formal training methods, with hands-on exercises, round-table discussion, and where possible incorporate the experience and challenges encountered by our participants.
Our training can be customized to focus around specific issues being encountered by asset teams or companies.
Addis & Yassir collaborate with experts in different technical specialities from around the world, to bring our clients the best and most informed professional training.
Training Levels
In line with industry best practice and in-house discipline capability building and technical competence profiles, our courses are targeted towards specific levels of technical competence and expertise. Our modules are ranked, and target four competency levels:
-
Awareness
-
Knowledge
-
Skill
-
Mastery
Most of our modules target the Awareness, Knowledge and Skilled competency levels, the Skill competency levels are longer than the Knowledge level, and contain more exercises. Mastery is normally achieved through extensive and continual specialised hands-in (and often application-based) learning based on actual on field problems. However, where specialised courses are required, we offer customised modules to address these areas.
